"Osa Peninsula, the most biologically intense place on Earth" National Geographic

By far, the biggest attraction on the Osa Peninsula is Corcovado National Park. Referred to by National Geographic Magazine as "the most biologically intense place on Earth", Corcovado National Park is a naturalist's dream.

Corcovado National Park is made up of 42,570 hectares which protects one of the last unspoiled tracts of Pacific Lowland Rainforests left in the world. Here, primeval rainforests spill onto deserted, pristine beaches, creating stunning scenery. Corcovado is home to over 100 mammal species, more than 360 bird species, and over 100 amphibians and reptiles. It is estimated that there are over 800 different tree species in the park, many of which are endemic. There are three ranger stations in Corcovado which are accessible from Drake Bay and Casa Drake offers tours to all three.
